The Sunday Post – #3

Follow on WordPress.com

Sunday post is hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news of the week gone by as well as plans for the week to come. The rules are pretty porous so you can personalize this any way you wish.

Let’s start shall we?

BOOKISH RECAP!

My TBR is a pile so huge I fear to even look at it. But I’m finally back on the reading backwagon and have multiple reads happening right now. Books I’m reading are:

  • To Rescue A Rogue by Jo Beverly
  • Kiss of a Deep Winter by Kresley Cole/Gena Showalter
  • The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
  • The Final Empure by Brandon Sanderson [Reread]

TELLY OBSESSION!

The two shows I’m watching at the moment are The Witcher and The Gift. I’m rewatching Witcher at a snails pace as I make my way through the books. The Gift is a new Turkish show I’ve become obsessed with most recently. The premise is really interesting – part history, part magic – and though I’m just two episodes in, I’m really liking it.

Do you watch Turkish dramas?

LAST WEEK ON THE BLOG

LIFE UPDATE!

Since I got sick the week before, these past two weeks have been spent catching up with work deadlines. Between books, Netflix and work, there’s little else I’ve had time for. The influx of relatives is slowly receding but there’s still a lot happening at home. And while my reading binge has picked up, unfortunately, the writing has slowed due to both, lack of time and motivation. I’m hoping to change that soon because I have a short story to submit in March and I really need to get back to it.

I’ve also been depending about changing my Insta theme. It’s true I began that account to put my creative writing out to the world but lately, writing those pieces for the sake of posting has been putting a lot of pressure me. As a result, the quality of my prose is suffering, or so I feel.

Hence, I’m thinking of switching the theme towards one write-up, one personal post may be? That way, I can also better integrate my blog with my social media. Does that make sense?

Let me know your thoughts!
