The Sunday Post – #1
I came across this meme at Curiouser and Curiouser. Originally hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, The Sunday Post is a chance to share news of the week gone by as well as plans for the week to come. I decided to give it a try because I’ve been meaning to start a weekly recap anyway and the rules here allow you to personalize the meme as you wish.
Coming to my week, here we go!
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOG

BOOKS I’VE READ

BOOKS I’M READING

I just finished reading The Highwayman and my God, I have no idea how I’ve not gotten my hands on anything by Byrne before this. Suffice it to say, I’ve a new writer to binge on now! There’ll definitely be a review coming for The Highwayman sometime next week so keep an eye out for that if you love romance. I’m also planning to do a comparative analysis of The Last Wish and The Witcher show. Here’s to hoping I get time!
PERSONAL RECAP
I’ve taken a few days off from work but it’s weddings galore in my world so I’m super busy with that. I tend to be selective about weddings mostly, preferring to attend one or two of the many ceremonies that are part and parcel of all Muslim weddings, irrespective of the sect. However, it’s my best friends wedding this week and I wouldn’t miss any of the events for the world.
We’re two ceremonies down, got three more to go and so these days, all I go is sleep, eat, dress up and repeat. Plus, end of the year is visitor time and I’ve a herd of aunts, uncles and cousins coming in from overseas. But I’m still managing to get some reading done in between so super proud of myself. Let’s hope this streak continues!
THINGS TO-DO
- Write a review of The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne.
- Finish plotting the short story making cartwheels in my head.
- Plan End-of-the-Year Post.
- Get back on my Instagram!
How’s your week been so far? Let’s chat in the comments!

Weddings are exhausting. I don’t think I could handle a bunch of ceremonies in a row. I’d want to skip a few so I could stay home and read. Have a great week!

God, yes, weddings are exhausting. But also a lot of fun! I usually do skip ceremonies but since I am the desi version of a maid of honor here, that’s not really possible. We’re almost done though. The last ceremony is tonight and after that it’s back to work for me.
I wish you a very Happy New Year and a great reading week ahead!

My husband and I binged on the Witcher series.
Sounds like your week has been a busy one, but for a great reason.
Wishing you a great reading week and a Happy New Year

Ooh, that sounds fun. Did you enjoy Witcher? I’ve got the soundtrack stuck on my head so much, I’m listening to games music! And oh, yes, its been a busy week. And the next couple promise to be the same but well, I can’t complain because all these efforts are really rewarding.
A very Happy New Year to you too! May this new year bring lots of joy, health and success for you and your family!

I did quite like it once I figured out where in time things were taking place.

Wow, Muslim weddings sound exhausting! 😉 But I’m sure you’ll look back on all the celebrations with your friend in years to come and cherish the memories.
Happy New Year and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week (and manage to relax). 😉

Haha, yes, they are exhausting but so much fun too! Especially when there’s different cultures/sects interacting, as is the case with my best friend and I.
A very Happy New Year to you too! I hope this new year brings you lots of joy and success. Will definitely check out you Sunday post.
Love,
Perveen
