Ripple Effect…
Of all the all-encompassing laws of physics, one of the most fundamental ones is that of all magnetic fields: Like poles repel. Unlike poles attract.
And yet, contrary to its essential-ness, this rule does not apply to the barest quantum of energies that comprise, contain the charges as volatile as human thought and emotions.
‘Cuz if it did, optimism would be a natural occurrence, not a hard-won mental battle.
Usually, positive thoughts are nowhere to be found when you could most definitely use them. Somehow, those random quotes of wholesome goodness that you instant-like a dozen a day will never strike your social media feed when you’re having a bad day at work.
Your car is most likely to break down the day your dog died. The skies will open for an impromptu shower of rain on the day you’re already running late.
For some unfathomable reason, the gods of universe and algorithms strike a deal to deal you an irritating hand of cards on bloody irritating days.
Calm, as my grandmother used to say, is a state of mind.
How different life would be if you’d remember that on days you’re unlikely to feel it?
Have you had days where nothing seems to go right? Have you later, when alone with your 3 am thoughts, regretted your reactions towards what then seems trivial accidents and promised yourself to do, be better? Is it a promise kept, or failed?
Tell me all about it in the comments.
